#INSPIREprogram | 200 swine breeders were distributed to the Koronadal Valley Livestock Growers Multi-purpose Cooperative (KOVALICO) by the Department of Agriculture Region 12 through its Livestock Program.
These Parent Stock (PS) gilts were provided under the 2024 Modified Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) program.
This initiative focuses on recovering and repopulating the local swine industry to ensure a stable supply of hogs and pork, while strictly adhering to biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF).
