#REDinFarmersFest | Farmers from Koronadal City, South Cotabato’s 27 barangays gathered on January 11, 2025 to celebrate the 85th Foundation Anniversary and the 2025 Hinugyaw Festival Farmers’ Festival, recognizing the vital role of farmers in the local economy while fostering camaraderie and unity among the agricultural community.
Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales graced the occasion, aiming to inspire and assure farmers of the agency’s continued support through targeted interventions and programs.
In his address, RED Perales emphasized the importance of collective efforts in agriculture. “I assure that all of you will hopefully be supported by the department through our many projects. That is why consolidation and your commitment to us are so important. Together, let us strengthen our force in agriculture so that we can all prosper,” he said.
City Mayor Atty. Eliordo U. Ogena also expressed his support to the activity. “This festival is not only a celebration of our farmers’ hard work and dedication, but also a reminder of how integral agriculture is to the growth and prosperity of our city,” he said.
Furthermore, City Agriculturist Engr. Reynold D. Biñas supported these sentiments, stating that the Farmers’ Festival serves as a gesture of appreciation for the farmers’ hard work and a platform to strengthen partnerships for future endeavors.
The festival featured various activities that allowed participants to showcase their skills and bond as a community, reflecting the city’s commitment to uplifting its agricultural sector.
