DA-MIADP RPCO 12, through its Resilient Ancestral Domain Agri-Fisheries Infrastructure Component, has conducted a Field Sub-Project Appraisal Review (FSAR) and Joint Technical Review (JTR) for the Improvement/Concreting of Brgy. Nati & Tinalon: Natโ€™l Highway Junction to Sitio TagbakTagbak to Sitio Balite to Sitio Mulawin Farm-To-Market Road, in Senator Ninoy Aquino Municipality, Sultan Kudarat Province.

Situated inside the Manobo-Dulangan Ancestral Domain, the 3.5 km road improvement sub-project has a Road Influence Area (RIA) of 1,533 hectares covering two barangays and 3 sitios whose livelihoods are mostly dependent on agriculture consisting of coffee, corn, coconut, and lowland rice cultivation. The infrastructure sub-project is expected to benefit approximately 983 households in the area by providing better access to markets and services, reducing transportation costs, and enhancing overall economic prospects.

The team conducting the Field Sub-Project Appraisal, led by Engr. Julius Oliveros from MIADP-PSO AD-Infra Component was also joined by Kulaman Vice-Mayor Rafael George L. Flauta III (leading the MLGU group), PLGU Sultan Kudarat, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP 12). A Joint Technical Review (JTR) was undertaken the next day for the presentation of the sub-project’s Feasibility Study, critiquing and ways forward. This collaborative activity ensures that the sub-project meets the technical standards and requirements set by The World Bank for funding approval.

In his parting message, MIADP-PSO AD-Infra head Engr. Julius Oliveros commended the commitment and cooperation of the parties involved in the review process, emphasizing that their remarks and recommendations are part of the stringent procedure to improve the requisite technical documents and ensure the sub-project’s successful implementation. Engr. Oliveros also expressed that RPCO 12’s Gold Prize the year before was a testament to their dedication, diligence, and excellent working relationships with their MLGU and ICC/IPs development partners.
