To evaluate their current status and identify areas for improvement, ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐’๐ฌ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐๐-๐๐๐๐) has launched a Social Preparation (SocPrep) Assessment for five farmersโ associations (FAs) in Sultan Kudarat today.
The participating associations include the Central Magungaya Bangsamoro Farmersโ Association in Brgy. Tambak, Lambayong; the Gawang Bangsamoro Farmersโ Association in Brgy. Sadsalan, Lambayong; the General Titulok Farmersโ Association in Brgy. Titulok, Bagumbayan; the Sitio Mudti Salatan Manobo-Dulangan Farmersโ Association in Brgy. Chua, Bagumbayan; and the Kapaya United Farmers and Duck Raisers Association in Brgy. Kapaya, Bagumbayan.
The assessment is being conducted through key informant interviews (KII) and focus group discussions (FGD) led by DA-SAAD staff. The Regional Program Management and Support Office (RPMSO) team includes personnel from the Social Preparation Program Management (SPPM), Food Production and Livelihood (FPL), Marketing Assistance and Enterprise Development (MAED), Public Relations and Development Communication (PRDC), and Information Technology and Database Development (ITDD). Personnel from the Provincial Program Management and Support Office are also assisting in the process.
Additionally, the MAED team is assessing whether the associations meet the requirements for Community-Based Enterprise (CBE) status, while the ITDD team is updating member profiles to ensure accurate records. This initiative aims to strengthen the farmers’ associations by addressing challenges and leveraging their strengths for sustainable development.
