Koronadal CityโIn a landmark achievement for the Indigenous Cultural Communities of the Manobo-Dulangan Ancestral Domain, the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) has approved and endorsed for funding the sub-projects:
1. Improvement/Concreting of Brgy. Nati and Tinalon: National Highway Junction to Sitio TagbakTagbak to Sitio Balite to Sitio Mulawin Farm-To-Market Road, with an estimated project cost of P50,135,000.
2. Green Coffee Beans Production, Consolidation & Marketing, with an estimated project cost of P6,323,151.00
“Securing this funding for our ancestral domain is a monumental achievement that will have a profound impact on the lives of our community for generations to come,” says Leslie Idio Taranza, President of the Kulaman Manobo Dulangan Organization (KMDO).
Senator Ninoy Aquino Municipality, a valley situated between the highlands of Bagumbayan and the coastal towns of Lebak and Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat Province, is home to the Manobo-Dulangan Indigenous Peoples, who have long been advocating for sustainable development projects in their ancestral domain. The funding secured for the road improvement and coffee production will not only improve access to markets for their products but also provide opportunities for economic growth and self-sufficiency within the community.
