#InPhotos| The DA-RFO 12 Regional Pre-Assessment Team (RPAT) with representative from the Office of Provincial Agriculture (OPAG) of Sarangani and Office of Municipal Agriculture (OMAG) of Alabel conducted a pre-assessment interview and farm evaluation across Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) applicants in Alabel, Sarangani Province on March 11-14, 2025.
Before the activity, the team paid a courtesy visit to Alabel Municipal Agriculturist Giselle C. Gestupa to discuss the planned assessments.
The RPAT focused on Farm Management, Organic Agriculture Practices, and Documentation to assess farmer readiness and compliance to the Philippine National Standard for Organic Agriculture in preparation for the final inspection of the Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (BAFS).
Following the evaluation, the team met to discuss the findings and make recommendations, which the PGS applicants accepted.
