#InPhotos | President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. led the launch of the Agri-Puhunan at Pantawid (APP) Program on April 11, 2025, at the Provincial Capitol in Alabel, Sarangani Province, paving way towards empowering rice farmers nationwide.
A joint initiative between the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), the APP seeks to improve agricultural productivity and uplift farmers’ livelihoods by providing accessible financial support and essential farming services.
Under the program, eligible farmer-borrowers can access input credits of up to P28,000 per hectare per cropping season through their Interventions Monitoring Card (IMC), which can be used at accredited merchants and service providers.
Additionally, each farmer will receive a total of P32,000 in cash assistance, disbursed in monthly tranches of P8,000, helping to ease their financial burden and promote more sustainable rice farming practices across the sector.
