The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office XII, through its Rice Program, successfully conducted the “Scaling of Rice Technologies Team Training of Trainers on Facilitators’ Skills” last May 5–9, 2025 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The training was designed to equip Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) and Farmer Leaders with the knowledge and skills to promote the adoption of innovative rice farming technologies. It also aimed to help integrate these practices into farmers’ existing production systems, making them more productive, sustainable, and resilient.
Through this training, the DA aims to scale these technologies in key rice areas, empowering farmers to adopt practices that support both productivity and long-term sustainability.
