
#InPhotos | On May 20, 2025, Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC) Chairperson Florante Racosas, Philippine Agricultural and Fishery Council (PAFC) South Cotabato Chairperson Romeo Hizon, along with coordinators Susanita Limpot and Jocelyn Romasanta, conducted a site visit to monitor the progress of various livelihood projects in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Among the sites inspected was the Greenhouse with Hydroponics at the Techno Demo Farm in Barangay GPS. With a budget of ₱1 million, the project aims to promote innovative farming methods and boost food production for the benefit of the LGU Techno Demo Farm.
The team also visited the Milling Equipment Project in Barangay Assumption, a ₱400,000 investment intended to improve post-harvest processing for the Bagal Farmers Association.
Lastly, they reviewed the Rotary Weeder Project in Barangay Zulueta. Valued at ₱370,000, the equipment supports the Koronadal Association of Organic Experts in their sustainable farming practices.
These initiatives form part of a wider strategy to strengthen agricultural livelihoods, ensure food security, and promote environmentally sustainable farming across the region. (Ian Frederick Carbonell
