ORGANICsaDOSE ACTIVITIES| From May 15 to 23, the Regional Organic Agriculture Program successfully conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the 5-Year Investment Plan for Organic Agriculture, with the active participation of the first batch, composed of Five Farmers’ Cooperative Associations (FCAs). Namely, Linao Baraggay Irrigation Development Association, Upper Valley Organic Farmers Association, Organic Producers of Alabel Marketing Cooperative, Salanasan Vegetable Farmers Association and 4H Club Salansang.
The dialogue highlighted our farmers’ collective vision and identified the key interventionsβsuch as capability building, production support, post-harvesting, marketing support, and waste managementβthat ensure the smooth and sustainable implementation of organic practices in the region.
This FGD marks a crucial step in aligning thier visions with long-term investment strategies in organic agriculture, fostering a healthier nation and a more resilient agricultural landscape.
