#InPhotos | The Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office (DA-RFO) XII, in collaboration with the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC), formally conducted the #PriceProtectionProgram Roll-Out earlier today, May 26, 2025, in the Municipality of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. This initiative aims to strengthen the agricultural sector by providing targeted financial and technical assistance to local farmers, promoting sustainable production, and ensuring market price stability.

[The fulfillment and solution to our financial and pricing problems are now here. All we need to do is work hard and take care of our fields and farms because the Department of Agriculture will provide everything that you all need.]

The activity was attended by ACPC National Director Noel Clarence M. Ducusin, along with representatives from the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) and the National Food Authority (NFA), signifying strong inter-agency collaboration in fortifying farmer welfare.

One of the key highlights of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Sinagtala Multi-Purpose Cooperative and key government agencies, including DA-RFO XII and the NFA. The agreement outlines their respective roles in the successful implementation of the program, particularly in the marketing aspect.

In addition, farmers in the said municipality received production loan portfolios and essential agricultural interventions. Municipal Mayor Ferdinand G. Agduma expressed gratitude for the program and urged farmers to support the initiative through increased productivity.

[We are the ones borrowing equipment and resources from the Department of Agriculture. So, all I ask in return for their support is that we increase our harvests and help grow this program since we are already one of the government’s priorities.]

This roll-out reinforces the government’s mission to revitalize rural economies, ensure stable market prices, and promote self-sufficiency through inclusive and sustained agricultural support. ( ✏️Ian Frederick Carbonell 📸Jan Paul Daquiado)
