“Through Treasures of SOX, mas nakikilala yung ating mga produkto. Tulad ng pagiging fruit basket natin. Mas nakilala na na ang mga prutas ay galing po sa SOCCSKSARGEN. As a region with a rich cultural heritage, we have living traditions. Through this, other friends from other regions want to come to our region,” RD King said in a press conference at the Habi Hotel in Koronadal City Tuesday, in preparation for the upcoming 7th Treasures of SOX: A Travel and Trade Expo in Cebu City.
With RD King in the press conference were Association of Tourism Officers of SOX (ATOS) President Elric Batilaran, Department of Trade and Industry 12 (DTI) OIC Assistant Regional Director Rictoniel Reginio, Department of Agriculture XII Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division Chief Esmael Intao, and Joan P. Romano of Romano Travel and Tours.
Treasures of SOX Year 7 is set to take place at Ayala Center Cebu from June 20 to 22, bringing together entrepreneurs, local tourists, and cultural advocates.
This year’s expo aims to showcase the region’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking natural attractions, and curated tour packages, further promoting SOCCSKSARGEN’s identity as a premier tourism destination.
The event will feature 29 exhibits highlighting a diverse range of local products, including fresh and processed tuna, fruits, vegetables, and other agri-fishery items.
Additionally, indigenous textiles such as the famed Tnalak of the Tbolis and Inaul of the Maguindanaons will be showcased, celebrating the artistic traditions of SOCCSKSARGEN’s artisans.
