Dubbed as “Unang Pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Gatas”, this campaign was launched today, March 2 in Koronadal City. It was led by the DA 12 in collaboration with various national government agencies and local government units in the region.
This endeavor was conceptualized by virtue of Regional Development Council 12 Resolution No. 156 Series of 2022 which declares the Month of March as Milk Awareness Month and the first region in the entire country to observe the aforementioned celebration.
DA 12, as the main initiator and convener through the Task Force Gatas, aims to achieve reduction of poverty incidence at 5% and malnutrition at 7%, ensure the attainment of peace and order in the 62 identified ELCAC-barangays, and develop and improve the lives of the 3% Indigenous People communities in Region 12’s 62 sustainable barangays.
