#MIADPnews | Field Sub-Project Appraisal and Joint Technical Review conducted for Ancestral Domains in Tboli, Malungon, and Pigcawayan
Koronadal City – The Department of Agriculture-Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (DA-MIADP RPCO XII) continues to provide support for IPs in the region and their local government through conducting Field Sub-Project Appraisal Report (FSAR) and Joint Technical Reviews (JTR) for the proposed projects. Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) sub-projects in the municipalities of Tboli, Malungon, and Pigcawayan.
The FSAR was held on October 28–30, 2025, with the participation of representatives from MIADP Project Support Office (PSO), Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) XII, and LGUs covered by MPDC, MEO, MAO, and MENR Offices. The event includes onsite validation, documentation, and interviews with local farmers and community members.
Among the appraised proposed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) Sub-Projects are
1. Tboli, South Cotabato: 3.268 km FMR serving Tboli and Blaan Ancestral Domain
2. Malungon, Sarangani: 6.024 km FMR serving Blaan and Tagakaulo Ancestral Domain
3. Pigcawayan, Cotabato: 4.43 km nga FMR nga nag-alagad sa Erumanen Ne Menuvu Ancestral Domain
The shared sites are among the proposals that made it onto the priority list for possible funding from MIADP, with a total amount of ₱206.39 million. When implemented, these roads will improve access to remote production areas and strengthen market linkages for priority commodities in each ancestral domain.
After the field sub-project appraisal, the Joint Technical Review (JTR) was held on November 4–5, 2025, wherein LGUs presented their Feasibility Study (FS), Detailed Engineering Design (DED), and Program of Works (POW). JTR headed by MIADP PSO and RPCO XII seeks to assess the technical quality, suitability, and complete documentation of the proposed sub-projects, and to create recommendations before approving them for approval.
The three proposed FMR sub-projects are set to be approved for RPAB deliberation and approval by the second week of December 2025.
