Bannering the theme, “Maunlad na Pagsasaka, Garantisado sa Organikong Agrikulturang Sinaliksik,” more than 400 participants consist of organic agriculture practitioners, government agencies, local government officials, academe and private institutions joined the said congress.
Office of Special Asistance to the President Undersecretary Joana Paula Domingo graced the event and represented Philippine President and DA Secretary Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.
In Pres. Marcos’ speech, OA was recognize as one of the significant industry that contributes and sustain the food production in the country.
“Our nation is grateful to the brilliance, expertise, and commitment being shown by our organic practitioners and innovators,” Domingo said.
An exhibit was also set-up until March 23 to further promote organic goods produced by farmers in Region 12.
