𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗥𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 ₱762 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗣𝗔𝗕 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗢𝗡 12
Three proposed farm-to-market road projects with a combined investment of more than ₱762 million were approved during the second Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) meeting of 2026 held on June 8, 2026 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The activity served as a vital platform for reviewing and endorsing priority rural infrastructure investments under the Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP), bringing together representatives from national government agencies, local government units, and development partners involved in project planning and implementation.
Among the subprojects presented was the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗴-𝗔𝘆–𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝘁𝗼-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 in Banga, covering 6.9 kms with a proposed cost of ₱166.4 million. Also up for endorsement was the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗛𝗪 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁–𝗘. 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝘁𝗼-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗜𝗜 in Glan, a 16.8-kilometre road project valued at ₱359.4 million.
The third proposal was the 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿–𝗞𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗴–𝗔𝗸𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼𝗱–𝗞𝗶𝗮𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝘁𝗼-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 in Malapatan. The project includes a 5.8-kilometre road section and a 40-linear-meter bridge with an estimated cost of ₱237 million.
Together, the three infrastructure investments amount to approximately ₱762 million and are intended to improve connectivity between agricultural production areas and market centers, helping farmers transport goods more efficiently while expanding access to services and economic opportunities.
Present during the meeting were Salway D. Sumbo Jr., DA-PRDP RPCO XII Deputy Project Director Ray H. Embajador, representatives from the Mindanao Development Authority, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region XII, the Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council, and the Department of Public Works and Highways Region XII.
Representatives from the local governments of Malapatan and Banga, as well as the Provincial Local Government Unit of Sarangani Province, also participated in the discussions and review of the proposed subprojects.
As the second RPAB meeting conducted this year, the gathering highlighted the continuing efforts of DA-PRDP and its partner institutions to advance infrastructure investments that support agricultural development and rural economic growth across the region.
The RPAB serves as an important stage in the project development process, ensuring that proposed investments are aligned with regional priorities, technically sound, and responsive to the needs of local communities before moving forward to the succeeding levels of evaluation and approval.
