The ceremony was spearheaded by DA 12 OIC Regional Executive Director Dr. John Pascual and Cotabato Governor Emmylou Taliño-Mendoza.
This 4.5 kilometer-long FMR project costs more than PhP48-million and benefited 870 farmers from the barangays of Malapag and Tinimbacan in Banisilan town.
Director Pascual emphasized in his message the significance of this initiative in enhancing the agriculture sector in Cotabato Province and assured continued support from the agency.
“Sa tulong ng FMR na ito, gaganda na ang daloy ng ating mga produkto mula sa production area hanggang sa merkado… Lalaki ang kita at mababawasan na rin ang production costs ng ating mga magsasaka, mababawasan ang kahirapan at uunlad ang ating pagsasaka,” the director said.
