Dr. Vilbar highlighted in her speech the contribution of farmers and fisherfolk to the economic development and food security of the country.
“Ngayong araw na ito, tayo ay nagtitipon upang bigyang halaga at pasasalamat ang inyong mga sakripisyo at tagumpay… Our dear farmers, you are not just mere cultivators of the soil; you are the architects of progress, nurturing both sustenance and prosperity from seed to succeed.
The RTD also urged the farmers to prepare for El Nino and assured to them that the DA 12 will further strengthen its strategies to mitigate the impacts of the said phenomenon to the agri-fishery sector.
