Over PhP87.5-million worth of projects for SoCot’s agri-fishery sector was turned-over by Sen. Imee Marcos, Agriculture Assistant Secretary Kristine Evangelista, DA 12 OIC Regional Executive Director Dr. John Pascual, Provincial Governor Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr., and officials from the DA’s attached bureaus, agencies and corporations.
These support for farmers and fishers were funded under the agency’s banner and regular programs and from Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization.
In her speech, Sen. Marcos highlighted the developments brought by the government’s initiatives such as irrigation systems, road networks and land consolidation projects in advancing the farming sector in the said province.
