The buyer, Ms. Angela Zafico, a Fil-Am based in Houston, Texas and owner of AtoZ Coffee is a distributor of coffee beans to selected coffee shops in the United States.
The event was an offshoot of the recent participation of the Department of Agriculture to the Coffee Expo in Portland, Oregon, USA on April this year.
The vent was attended by 15 farmers, cooperatives and associations of Coffee producers from the provinces of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, and Sarangani.
The coffee growers were allowed to have a one-on-one encounter with the buyer and discuss the mode of sale, volume, pricing, and other agreements.
