#KSKSAP | The Department of Agriculture (DA) 12 joined the culmination program of the Batch 245 on SM’s Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan on Sustainable Agriculture Program (KSK-SAP) today, August 7, at SM Mall in General Santos City.

Twenty five farmer-graduates from Barangay Baluan, General Santos City, successfully completed the requirements in 14 weeks of modular training.
Marvie Diamante, one of the farmer-graduates, said that she was able to learn more about farming strategies and lessen their expenses in purchasing organic materials for farming.
Moreover, Eden Barbas, expressed her thanks to the local government unit of General Santos City and other government officials because the KSK-SAP has helped her sustain their basic necessities and get an extra income in farming.

City Mayor Lorelie Pacquiao, also graced the event and shared her message of gratitude to the graduates through her representative during the ceremony.
“Nais kong pasalamatan ang mga nag-organisa ng programang ito… Maraming salamat sa inyong malasakit sa ating kababayan na nagsusulong ng pagsasaka sapagkat sila ang tunay na lakas ng ating bansa,” Mayor Pacquiao said.
The KSK-SAP aims to empower and enhance farmers’ agricultural practices and explore avenues for sustainable growth.

This was implemented by the SM Foundation, in partnership with the DA 12, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Tourism, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and the Municipal Agricultural Office of General Santos City.
