Today, August 16, each of the six young farmers from South Cotabato Province also received PhP80,000 cash assistance from the Department of Agriculture 12.
The awarding ceremony was conducted in Koronadal City by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division and Provincial Government of South Cotabato.
YFC grantees thanked the DA 12 for putting the program in place to encourage the youth to get involved in agriculture and fishery sector.
“YFC could help me to sustain my needs, especially I am a breadwinner in my family…It could be an avenue for us to have a multiple source of income,” Provincial Winner Edwin Gonzales, Jr. said.
