The National Food Authority (NFA) Council, led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., has established new buying prices for dry and fresh palay to benefit farmers and maintain an adequate rice supply.
The new prices are set at PHP 19 to PHP 23 for dry palay and PHP 16 to PHP 19 for wet palay. These changes aim to ensure that farmers earn a reasonable income while keeping retail rice prices stable.
