#RAFR4DEA | The Department of Agriculture’s Research Division held a meeting in Koronadal City today, October 4, to update the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Research for Development and Extension Agenda (RAFR4DEA) 2023–2028.
This activity aims to review and update the RAFRADEA to create a research plan for important crops in the region that are essential for food safety and boosting economic opportunities in the agriculture and fisheries industry.
The crops that were discussed by the panelists during the meeting included cereals, cacao, coffee, mango, banana, rubber, vegetables, root crops, livestock, poultry, fisheries, coconut, and fisheries.
Researchers also shared their ideas to improve such commodities, which will lead to expanded economic opportunities for those who are engaged in agriculture, fisheries, and forests.
