Seven proponent-local government units (LGUs) of infrastructure subprojects underwent a four-day National Project Coordination Office-Project Support Office Mindanao-Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) XII-LGU Joint Technical Review (JTR), last week.
These proposals, which are set to be submitted for the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) Scale Up, were reviewed and presented in Koronadal City with the presence of consultants from the aforementioned entities.
These LGUs had already vast PRDP experience which consisted of Banga, Tampakan, Tupi, Polomolok, Esperanza, Kidapawan, and President Roxas.
A total of 1.2 Billion Pesos await the farmers and rural communities of the said areas with a total of over 50 kilometer-farm-to-market road.
Through the JTR, consultants from PRDP discussed with the proponent LGUs the significant documents such as the detailed engineering design, feasibility study, program of works, and economic and financial analysis.
With this, the pool of experts from PRDP reviewed their documents and ensured that the proposals were based on the PRDP guidelines as they prepared also for the approval of the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB).
OIC Regional Executive Director and RPCO 12-Project Director John Pascual noted that technical assistance is significant in ensuring the success of subproject implementation since the vital documents and requirements are prepared meticulously.
“As you prepare for the approval of the RPAB, work closely with our technical consultants so that you will ace the presentation,” the director said.
