#HFIDP ǀ With an objective to produce halal vegetables and support the marginalized farmers in the region, the Department of Agriculture 12 through its Halal Food Industry Development Program (HFIDP) held the Halal Vegetable Production and Postharvest Training on October 17 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
The training aims to improve the knowledge of practitioners , produce halal products and increase the income of marginal communities by providing basic, advanced information on vegetable production and postharvest activities.
HFIDP Deputy Coordinator Sahod Aguil discussed the basic concepts of halal and Tayyib food, and Shernova Joice Taguas, Farmer Superintendent, shared the vegetable production and postharvest management.
