#HalalProgram | To introduce Halal farmers and other stakeholders to various Halal initiatives in Davao Region, the Department of Agriculture – Halal Food Industry Development Program recently hosted an Inter-Regional Benchmarking on Halal Farms and Food Processors from November 22 to 24, 2023, in Davao City and Panabo, Davao Del Norte.
This activity also imparted knowledge and techniques in Halal food processing practices. Participants gained firsthand exposure to housing, tools, and equipment used in Halal butchering methods and procedures, providing valuable insights for establishing Halal slaughterhouses in their respective areas.
Industry stakeholders from Region 12 representing the provinces of Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sarangani, and General Santos City actively participated in the benchmarking activity.
