Joint Enforcement Operation conducted by NMIS-RTOC XII Enforcement Team, LGU Sto. Niño and Municipal Police Station.
In response to the request of LGU-Sto. Niño, a joint post-abattoir inspection was conducted last January 10, 2024, 8:00 am in the different meat markets of Sto. Niño, South Cotabato Province. Together with the Municipal Economic Enterprise Development Officer, Mr. Joffrey F. Frinal, LGU Meat Inspection, Mr. Joe Louie S. Detablan and PCPL Michael John P. Palma of Municipal Police Station, the team confiscated two (2) heads of mishandled pork carcass equivalent to 33 kgs, 4.8 kgs of pork (hot meat) acquired from unregistered meat establishment and 67 kgs of mishandled chicken meat, violation to RA 9296 known as the “Meat Inspection Code of the Philippines” as amended by RA 10536, DA AO 5 ” Rules and Regulations on Hygienic Handling of Newly Slaughtered Meat in Meat Markets” and DA AO 6 ” Rules and Regulations on Hygienic Handling of Chilled, Frozen and Thawed Meat in Meat Markets.
Following a proper documentation and police blotter, the 104.8 kgs confiscated meat were safely disposed at the Municipal Slaughterhouse.
