DA 12 Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales led the opening program of the Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Month celebration earlier today, May 06, 2024.
The month-long celebration is in recognition and honor of the hard work and dedication of farmers and fisherfolks in the country.
In line with this, Regional Agricultural and Fishery Council (RAFC 12) chairperson, Florante M. Racosas, was installed as Farmer-Director and will serve for the month as stipulated in Memorandum Circular No. 15 which performs delegated and non-delegated functions such as the routinary functions, policy and semi-policy determining activities. RED Roberto T. Perales turned over the key of responsibility.
This celebration is not only a way to give thanks but also to empower and support the farming and fishing communities, ensuring that they are recognized as the backbone of the country’s food supply chain.
