#AgriKalingawan2024 | The much-anticipated Kalingawan sa DA 2024 kicked off today at the Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII, marking the start of a four-day celebration from June 18 to June 21, 2024.
The first day filled with series of activities, beginning with a lively parade that set the tone for the rest of the day. Participants showcased their energy and creativity in a series of competitions including Zumba, banner raising, T-shirt competition, pep talk competition, cheering and yelling competition, and tug of war. The day also featured other sports events, providing ample opportunities for staff to engage in friendly competition and showcase their skillsets.
Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and camaraderie during his opening remarks, encouraging all participants to bond and enjoy the activities.
The day concluded with a series of awards celebrating the outstanding efforts of the teams. The Valiant Red Carabaos were honored with the “Most Creative” award, while the Furious White Horses were recognized as the “Most Organized.” The Blazing Blue Goats garnered attention with the “Biggest number of Delegates” award during the parade. The Mighty Green Bulls, however, emerged as the day’s standout team, claiming the “Biggest number of Delegates” during the Zumba Competition and the “Most Energetic” award.
