#PistaSaAMRES | The Department of Agriculture 12 – Amas Research and Experiment Station (DA-Amres) commemorated its 51st founding anniversary with a celebration that combined environmental awareness, faith, and Filipino cultural traditions. Themed “Dunong at Agham Alay sa Matapat at Responsableng Ehemplo ng Serbisyong Nagkakaisa,” the event emphasized the role of knowledge and science in fostering responsible and united service.
The celebration began with a tree planting activity aimed at alleviating the effects of climate change, emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability.
As part of the event, DA-Amres presented a token of appreciation to DA 12 – Regional Executive Director Robert T. Perales. This gesture was in recognition of his unwavering support for programs designed to benefit farmers, particularly in the areas of research and development, underscoring the critical role such initiatives play in improving agricultural practices and promoting innovation.
A highlight of the anniversary festivities was the traditional Palarong Pinoy, a series of games that showcased the rich Filipino cultural heritage. Employees competed in these traditional games, fostering camaraderie and a deeper connection to their roots while enjoying the spirit of friendly competition.
