#ProjectTurnover | “The installation of a greenhouse with hydroponics in Johnny Ang National High School inspires students to take up agriculture-related courses in senior high school. This initiative rejuvenated students’ desire to explore new agricultural technologies.” This was the message of the school principal, Isidro D. Salanio, in his closing remarks during the turnover ceremony of the greenhouse with hydroponics project of the National Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture Program (DA-RFO12 NUPAP) on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Barangay Katangawan, General Santos City.
This partnership supports the DA’s goal of food security and sustainability, highlighting that food security is not only the responsibility of the DA but of every individual.
The project will be a part of the income-generating activities of the school, which aim to bring fresh vegetables to every household, benefiting less fortunate students.
