#RiceCombineOMTraining | The Department of Agriculture – Region XII, through its Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED) and National Rice Program (NRP), conducted a training session for five (5) farmer associations pertaining to the Operations and Maintenance of rice combine harvesters.
The said training was held at Hotel de Viajera, Koronadal City, South Cotabato, with a field demonstration subsequently conducted at Brgy. New Iloilo, Tantangan, South Cotabato on October 2, 2024.
The purpose of the activity was to provide the farmer beneficiaries with hands-on experience in the proper utilization of the rice combine harvester, with a particular focus on the optimal timing for harvesting in consideration of field and crop conditions, appropriate adjustments to the machinery’s components, and the fine-tuning of forward speed and feed table to minimize field losses.
