#CornDerby | Here is the latest result of the Farmer’s Field Day for the Regional Varietal Trial for Wet Season in the high elevations of Sarangani province specifically in Sitio Blat, Brgy. Amsipit, Municipality of Maasim on October 11, 2024. 
In the GM category, Bayer Crop Science (DK8131S) demonstrated superior performance with an average yield of 8.65 t/ha. Bioseed’s H101G followed with an average yield of 7.67 t/ha, while Syngenta’s NK6505 BGT yielded an average of 7.60 t/ha. 
In the Conventional Yellow Hybrid category, Evo Gene Seeds Corp’s eg 501 achieved the highest yield at 5.45 t/ha, with Southside Agri Trading’s Filipina 753 with an average of 5.40 t/ha and RJR Agro-industrial Enterprises’ FE 820 yielding 5.33 t/ha.
Within the Conventional White Hybrid category, Southside Agri Trading’s Ghen 802w reported an average yield of 6.49 t/ha, followed by Farco’s 88 at 3.23 t/ha.
In the White OPV category, FARCO MPC (Farco 58) yields 2.77 t/ha and Tupi 1 WIT recorded yields of 1.85 t/ha.
This initiative was spearheaded by the Corn Program and Research and Development Division, in collaboration with the Regional Soils Laboratory and the Local Government Unit of Maasim, Sarangani province.
