Corn Program of the Department of Agriculture 12 distributed farm inputs under the Hybrid Corn Model Farm Project CY 2023.
Agricultural interventions were received by the SAGASA Farmers Association in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat and BULOL Corn Cluster in Polomolok, South Cotabato.
The package includes hybrid corn seeds and inorganic and Bio-N fertilizers.
Said project aims to integrate Bio-N fertilizer and Site Specific Nutrient Management (SSNM) technology in farmers’ fields to increase adoption of identified corn cluster areas and their productivity by 3-5 metric tons per hectare, and improve knowledge of corn growers.
