Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” Abalos, Jr. graced the celebration as the Guest of Honor.
Farmers and fishermen and families also received aid from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. with the distribution of Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk and Families (PAFF) conducted this morning in conjunction with the opening program of the province’s festival.
More than 4,100 beneficiaries received P10,000.00 cash assistance per beneficiary or with a total amount of P41,880,000.00, which is part of the P50M fund granted by the Office of the President in support of the farmers affected by the recent drought or El Niño Phenomenon.
