#SOAonRice | 210 farmers from various barangays in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat completed the School-On-the-Air (SOA) on rice production on August 15, 2024, in Poblacion, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, after two months of online learning.
The SOA program was organized by the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) of the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 12 (DA-RFO 12) with a focus on palay check system and climate resilient adaptation practices. The main objective of the program was to reach out to farmers in remote areas and equipped them with new improved technologies and practices on rice production.
Top 10 outstanding SOA graduates received a certificate of recognition and a certificate of commitment amounting to Php 2,800.00 worth of free-range chicken from DA-RFO XII. In addition to that, the Local Government Unit of Lebak also committed one(1) bag of Urea and one(1) bag of complete fertilizers to all SOA graduates.
