#HAPPENINGNOW || GENERAL SANTOS CITY, October 10, 2023 – The 2nd batch of Veterinarians are currently undergoing the training for the Applied Veterinary Epidemiology Training (AVET) and ASF Preparedness Workshop being held in General Santos City from October 10-13, 2023.
The event is expected to capacitate the local veterinarians from Region 12 and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in designing, developing and implementing epidemiologic studies, conducting accurate and effective epidemiologic investigations during outbreaks. The workshop is made possible through the initiative and cooperation of the National African Swine Fever Prevention and Control Program (NASFPCP), the Philippine College of Veterinary Epidemiologists (PCVE), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Republic of Korea (MAFRA). ##
