𝟔 𝐅𝐌𝐑 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝟏.𝟓-𝐁 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐑𝐃𝐏 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞-𝐔𝐩
More rural communities will benefit from the transformative impact of the PRDP Scale-Up’s interventions as six (6) farm-to-market road (FMR) subproject proposals were awarded the No Objection Letter (NOL1) by DA Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel, Jr. during a ceremonial awarding at the DA Central Office yesterday, December 10, 2024.
The six FMR subprojects worth Php1.5 billion were the following:
i. 𝑹𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏/𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒊𝒔𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒌 𝑩𝒖𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒏-𝑵𝒆𝒘 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒃𝒂𝒏-𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒈-𝑫. 𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒂-𝑻𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒐 𝑭𝑴𝑹 in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte worth Php397.8 M
ii. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐 𝑳𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒔-𝑫𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆-𝑩𝒖𝒚𝒐𝒔-𝑺𝒊𝒐𝒑 𝑭𝑴𝑹 in Surallah, South Cotabato worth Php236.4 M
iii. 𝑹𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑼𝒑𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒃𝒊𝒏𝒐-𝑮𝒖𝒃𝒂 𝑭𝑴𝑹 in Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental worth Php319.6 M
iv. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒆𝒈𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑨 (𝑨𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒍𝒐) 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑺𝒆𝒈𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑩 (𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒍𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒕) 𝑭𝑴𝑹 in Guinobatan, Albay worth Php116.2 M
v. 𝑼𝒑𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈/𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝑹𝑱 𝑷𝒐𝒃𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑮𝒖𝒊𝒑𝒐𝒔-𝑺𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕-𝑺𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒅-𝑫𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒔-𝑶𝒍𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒐 𝑭𝑴𝑹 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒈𝒆 in Zamboanga del Sur worth Php313 M
vi. 𝑹𝒆𝒉𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏/𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒇 𝑩𝒓𝒈𝒚. 𝑺𝒖𝒍𝒐 𝑭𝑴𝑹 in Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay worth Php126.5 M
These subprojects aim to reduce transportation time and costs for agricultural products and improve accessibility in the areas traversed by the proposed road projects.
The local chief executives of the Proponent Local Government Units received the NOL1 from Sec. Tiu Laurel and Usec. Roger V. Navarro: Siocon Mayor Ceasar C. Soriano; Surallah Mayor Pedro M. Matinong, Jr.; Vallehermoso Mayor Marianne S. Gustilo; Guinobatan Mayor Paul N. Garcia; and Zamboanga del Sur Governor Victor J. Yu. The respective Regional Executive Directors and Project Directors also joined the ceremonial awarding.
