#OutreachProgram | A series of Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Caravan and Reformation Towards Total Productivity (RTP) Cum Outreach Programs were successfully conducted in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs) and ELCAC barangays in South Cotabato and Cotabato Provinces. These activities, spearheaded under the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC-ELCAC), aimed to uplift communities affected by poverty and conflict.
On December 5 and 7, 2024, DA Assistant Secretary and National PRLEC-ELCAC Chairperson James Layug and National ELCAC Action Officer Aldrin Baldonado, in partnership with the Knights of Columbus, visited Magpet, Cotabato Province, Brgy. Mabini in Koronadal City and Brgy. San Felipe in Tantangan, South Cotabato.
This initiative focuses on poverty alleviation and providing much-needed services to conflict-affected communities. Among the highlights of the program were: presence of the IP community and peace builder/former rebels in Brgy. Mabini, free livelihood training programs, medical and eye check-ups, free haircuts and delivery of essential government services.
Through these efforts, the government reaffirms its commitment to improving the lives and fostering peace in the grassroots.
