#Happy85thBalindogRES | The Balindog Research and Experiment Station in Kidapawan City celebrated its 85th founding anniversary on June 28, 2024, highlighting the station’s longstanding contribution to the Department of Agriculture’s agricultural innovations.
The ceremony drew a significant number of attendees, including Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office XII Tupi Research and Experiment Station Chief Dr. Aileen V. Alvarez, Research for Development Division Chief Dr. Angelita F. Abrazado, and Regional Executive Director Roberto T. Perales.
In his speech, RED Perales emphasized the pivotal role of research in advancing agricultural practices and the importance of continued support and collaboration among government agencies, research institutions, and the farming community, thus ensuring food security for future generations.
In addition to participating in the tree planting activity and the actual anniversary ceremony, Director Perales toured the various offices and laboratories within the Balindog Research Station grounds. This provided him with a firsthand look at the ongoing research projects and the facilities that support them.
RED Perales commended the team for their dedication and innovative efforts, reiterating the Department of Agriculture’s commitment to fostering research and development in the agricultural sector.
