General Santos Cityโ€”NCIP and RPCO XII conduct orientation and pre-planning workshops for the ancestral domain of Blaan and Tagakaulo on February 21-22, 2025. The ancestral domain of Blaan and Tagakaulo in the municipality of Malungon, Sarangani, has been qualified as an eligible partner and recipient of the MIADP sub-projects implemented in the twenty-six (26) ADs in Mindanao. NCIP Sarangani, led by its Provincial Officer Dr. Nieves F. Cabije, along with the NCIP XII representatives, officially opened the program.

This NCIP XII-led activity aims to orient and prepare the members of the IPS, IPO, and the LPMIU of the various MIADP components, such as the Ancestral Domain Planning and Social Preparation, Resilient Ancestral Domain Agri-Fisheries Infrastructure, Agri-Fisheries Production and Enterprise Development, Project Management and Support, and Monitoring and Evaluation, prior to the projectโ€™s entry on the ground. The projectโ€™s salient features were presented, including effective strategies and pathways crucial to the project implementation. Municipal IPMR of Malungon and the President of IPMRs League in the Philippines, Datu Edmund Pangilan, encouraged the IPS and IPO members to work hand in hand with the various stakeholders in the entire project duration.

The barangays of Panamin, San Roque, and Datal Batong were represented by its sixteen (16) IPS and IPO members, including women and youth. Also in attendance were the three (3) members of the Municipal Tribal Council (MTC), along with the representatives of the LGU designated as members of the local project management and implementation unit (LPMIU).
