The National Organic Agriculture Program (NOAP) invites researchers, practitioners, institutions, and advocates to submit papers for the 18th National Organic Agriculture Congress (NOAC) on advancing organic agriculture as a profitable, sustainable, and competitive enterprise.

Submissions should showcase innovations, success stories, and strategies that enhance productivity, market growth, and economic viability while ensuring environmental sustainability.

âť—CATEGORIESâť—

The paper must focus on any of the following organic commodities with emphasis on production and business management practices that contribute to its sustainability, profitability, and market competitiveness:

a. Organic Grains (rice, corn, adlai, sorghum, etc.)

b. Organic Annual Crops (vegetables, legumes, root crops)

c. Organic Perennial Crops (export crops: organic coconut, sugar, banana, mango, pineapple, coffee, cacao, calamansi, ube, pili nut)

d. Organic Livestock (Beef, Swine, Dairy)

e. Organic Poultry and Eggs

f. Organic Aquaculture and seaweeds

g. Organic Inputs (seeds, fertilizer, soil amendments, crop and animal health protection agents)

h. Organic Animal Feeds

i. Beekeeping in Organic Agriculture

j. Organic non-food (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal hygiene, household cleaning agents, organic cloth fibers)

In addition, submissions should cover relevant innovative practices, success stories, and market opportunities within the chosen commodity, highlighting opportunities for replication in other areas.

âť—GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONâť—

All submitted papers must be original and unpublished. Papers must provide a complete discussion of the selected topic to help participants understand how to establish and manage organic enterprises effectively.

All submitted papers will undergo review and screening by a panel of experts, including members of the National Organic Agriculture Board (NOAB) and subject matter experts. Abstracts of up to 300 words must be submitted by May 23, 2025.

Authors will be notified of paper acceptance on June 16, 2025. Those whose papers are accepted must submitted the final full paper along with an extended abstract for publication as well as the speaker’s profile and photo to the Department of Agriculture by August 1, 2025.
