The Commission on Appointments (CA) confirms Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. as Secretary of the Department of Agriculture on December 5, 2023.

During the deliberations, Sec. Laurel said that “the goal of feeding 118 million Filipinos is daunting yet achievable with a whole-of-nation approach.”

The agri chief also stressed the need to modernize the long-neglected agriculture sector.
