#PRDPSidlanSessions | From May 15 to May 17, 2024, representatives from the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Cotabato, General Santos, Sarangani, South Cotabato, and Sultan Kudarat gathered for a comprehensive three-day training on the updated Management Information System (MIS) Version 2, known as “Sidlan.”
The term “Sidlan,” which translates to “to fill” in English, embodies the system’s purpose of comprehensive data management and project tracking.
Conducted by the Philippine Rural Development Project Regional Project Coordination Office XII (PRDP-RPCO 12), the “Sidlan” workshop aimed to enhance the efficiency of subproject implementation and optimize report generation through the integration of crucial features developed from user feedback.
The activity featured presentations and discussions with key speakers including PSO MEL Officer Maribel Ching who initiated the activity with the rationale, objectives, and expected outputs of the training while Jimmy Caldoza Jr., MIS Specialist from the NPCO MEL Unit, provided an overview of the LGU Module Subsystem enhancements, focusing on the I-PLAN, I-BUILD, and I-REAP Subsystems.
Furthermore, Mary Jane Bachanicha of the PSO I-PLAN Component presented the Sidlan Progress Report for the Mindanao Cluster.
Participants engaged in actual encoding and updating sessions to familiarize themselves with the enhanced MIS in order to record updates effectively.
The activity concluded with an awarding ceremony recognizing the LGU with the highest number of encoded and updated subprojects and participants shared valuable feedback on the current features of Sidlan.
