#prdpnews | The Department of Agriculture – Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Regional Project Coordination Office XII, Provincial Local Government of South Cotabato (PLGU South Cotabato), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) XII, and Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) converge for a coordination meeting on tilapia production and abaca farming on February 24-25, 2025 in Koronadal City, South Cotabato.
Discussions revolve around the upcoming convergence activities of various government agencies with the aim to improve the region’s tilapia and abaca industries by providing the necessary tools and technologies. In addition, Farmers Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) engaged in these ventures are invited to an intensive training with experts in these fields.
Furthermore, various concerns were also addressed during the meeting and put in writing through a memorandum of agreement between the agencies involved in the convergence.
