Koronadal City | The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project – Regional Project Coordination Office XII has landed its first Infra sub-project ID, after a successful conduct of the Subproject Appraisal Report (SPAR) and Joint Technical Review (JTR) for the Rehabilitation/Concreting of Brgy. Manobisa, Sitio Mabato – Sitio Timodos Farm-To-Market Road, on September 26-27, 2024.

The Project Support Office team led by Deputy Project Director Engr. Cristy Polido was also joined by representatives from PLGU Cotabato, MLGU Magpet, NCIP XII and MIADP Technical Service Provider, Orient Integrated Development Consultants Incorporated (OIDCI).

For what would be the first MIADP subproject in all of Mindanao, Engr. Polido had nothing but appreciation for the dedication and commitment shown by both MIAD-RPCO 12 and MLGU Magpet in making this milestone possible. It is important to highlight that the subproject review, evaluation, and approval must be anchored on the viability indicators set by the project in the market study, technical study, economic study, institutional/organizational study, social and environmental study, ensuring that the proposed subprojects will truly benefit the community and contribute to sustainable development in the area.

The 6.11km Rehabilitation/Concreting of Brgy. Manobisa, Sitio Mabato – Sitio Timodos Farm-To-Market Road subproject is scheduled for deliberation and approval by the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB) this coming November 2024, aiming for subproject implementation by the first quarter of 2025, upon successful evaluation and compliance of all necessary requirements set by the World Bank. The subproject is expected to improve access to markets for IP farmers, reduce transportation costs, and enhance overall economic opportunities in the community.
