The Information, Advocacy, Communication, and Education (InfoACE) Units from the National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), Project Support Offices (PSOs), and Regional Project Coordination Offices (RPCOs) convened for the InfoACE Coordination Meeting cum Year-end Assessment and Planning Workshop for CY 2025 from December 10-13, 2024 in Malay, Aklan.

The 4-day activity aimed to evaluate the unit’s accomplishments and communication strategies, assess the effectiveness of advocacy initiatives, and enhance communication methods to better meet the current needs of the project and its key stakeholders.

The activity was attended by Regional Information Officers, Writers, and Media Production Officers from the PRDP’s PSOs, RPCOs, and the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS), and representatives from the Project’s different components and units.

In her welcome message, Cheryl C. Suarez, InfoACE NPCO head, highlighted the importance of aligning communication initiatives with the Project’s overall advocacy strategies to the specific needs of each target audience.

β€œYour perspectives are essential in pinpointing ways we can enhance our advocacy initiatives in the unit. Let’s create strategies and solutions to strengthen our efforts and increase the impact of our communication efforts on the Project,” Suarez said.

Ana Victoria Margallo, InfoACE Information Specialist, presented the overall accomplishments for 2024 and outlined the communication directives for the upcoming year.

The PSOs also presented their accomplishments and collaborative activities with other components and units and developed their Regional Communication Plan for 2025.

DA-PRDP National Deputy Project Director Angelita D. Martir lauds the InfoACE unit for their outstanding contribution to the PRDP, which also helped reach satisfactory ratings of the overall implementation from the World Bank in the recently concluded 18th World Bank Implementation Support Mission.

β€œThe InfoACE unit plays a crucial role in promoting the project effectively. It also contributes to the completion reports and highlights the project’s milestones and achievements and collaboration with different components and units,” Martir said.

She added the unit helps provide a comprehensive overview of the project’s impact and the collective efforts that have contributed to its success.

Following a series of meaningful discussions, the PSOs and RPCOs wrapped up the activity and sought inputs from the NPCO on various concerns in their respective clusters.
