DA RFO 12 OIC-Regional Executive Director Honored with Warm Welcome at Headquarters of 1002nd Infantry (Bagwis) Brigade
MALUNGON, SARANGANI – The 1002nd Infantry (Bagwis) Brigade extended a heartfelt welcome to the Regional Executive Director of the Department of Agriculture Regional Office XII, Director John Buscato-Pascual, DVM, on February 26, 2024, during the Flag Raising Ceremony held at Camp Agaab, Sitio Pulatana, Brgy Malandag, Malungon, Sarangani Province.
Director Pascual was warmly received by Brigadier General Patricio Ruben P. Amata, Commander of the 1002nd Brigade, the dedicated staff officers, and the gallant men and women of the 1002nd Brigade.
During his visit, Director Pascual emphasized enhancing collaboration to sustain our conflict transformation initiatives in the formerly conflict-affected areas through the delivery of agriculture-related programs. Furthermore, to strengthen the Bagwis personnel’s capacity to oversee the people’s organizations’ activities effectively, he offered to establish an agriculture demo farm in Camp Agaab. This endeavor would provide upskilling for our troops and offer rural economic development.
Moreover, Team Bagwis presented Director Pascual with a commemorative memento, symbolizing their profound appreciation for his instrumental contributions to the conflict transformation efforts in the conflict-affected areas through the implementation of the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) and Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4Ks) Programs in Region XII.
