LOOK | Department of Agriculture (DA) Regional Executive Director John B. Pascual disclosed during the Kapihan sa PIA 12 at SM City General Santos Agriculture Secretary Francisco Laurel’s three-year plan to boost agricultural productivity and food security.
The plan, spanning from 2024 to 2026, aims to increase agricultural productivity, lower food costs, ensure food security, and strengthen the agricultural and fishery industries in the country.
He said that DA allocated P93 billion for the project’s implementation, which would specifically focus on the upgrading of post-harvest facilities, including rice and corn processing centers and warehouses with rice mills, to address the long-standing issue of inadequate post-harvest support in some parts of the country.
